Connah’s Quay Nomads have signed long-serving New Saints midfielder Aeron Edwards.
The 32-year-old had been with the Oswestry side for eleven years but has now sought pastures new, joining the newly crowned Cymru Premier champions.
Edwards went on to win nine Cymru Premier titles, four Welsh Cups and five League Cups during his time with The New Saints.
“It’s been a difficult decision after spending 11 great years at TNS, but I felt it was the right time for a new challenge,” said Edwards to the-nomads.co.uk
“I’m really looking forward to working with Andy, Craig, Jay and the rest of the team.”
Welcoming the newest arrival to the Nomads, manager Andy Morrison said: “Aeron is a player I have admired for many years and we’re delighted to sign him. He will add quality to our already talented squad.”
Edward’s arrival coincides with the contract extension of influential coach Craig Harrison.
Harrison – Edward’s manager during six-years of dominance with TNS – signed an extension to his contract at the Nomads which would see him remain at Deeside Stadium for a further two years.
