FORMER Premier League midfielder Lee Fowler has revealed how he was rejected by four Cymru Leagues clubs before returning to play in the Football League.
Fowler, who began his career in the Premier League with Coventry City, is regarded as a journeyman, racking up appearances for over 20 clubs during his career.
The 36-year-old, currently manager of Radcliffe, was a recent guest on the popular football podcast, Undr the Cosh, presented by ex-professionals Jon Parkin and Chris Brown.
During the podcast, Fowler opened up about his career and how he has battled various different issues.
And he briefly touched on his stint in the Cymru Premier, where he made just three appearances for TNS in 2014.
He also signed for Cefn Druids but failed to make an appearance, before his career took an upturn, returning to the Football League with Crawley Town, and following that to Wrexham in the National League.

‘It was embarrassing, I got rejected by Cefn Druids, rejected by Rhyl, rejected by Colwyn Bay, so I knew it wasn’t fitness it was a medical thing. ‘I had my iron topped back up by the doctor, then I packed it in a bit before going to Nuneaton.’
The former Wales Under 21 international also signed for Holywell Town in 2018, before retiring from the game and turning to management.
