Former Bangor City loanee Jordan Davies is one of a number of players to be released by English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Davies, 21, spent a successful four months at Nantporth, making 14 appearances for the Citizens before being recalled by Wrexham.

In January 2017, he would move to Premier League outfit Brighton for an undisclosed fee despite a ‘substantial’ bid from Bangor City.

The left-back was a product of Wrexham’s youth system which has produced the likes of Wales internationals Danny Ward and Neil Taylor.

Commenting on Davies departure, Albion’s Head of Academy John Morling said: “During their time with the club Jordan, Archie, Lewis, Hugo, Kacper and Bojan have always worked hard and acted with the utmost professionalism.

“We wish them all the best in the next stage of their careers, and we will fully support them as they try to find other opportunities.”

During his time with the Sussex side, Davies made a combined 45 appearances in the EFL Trophy and the Premier League 2.

A key highlight of his Brighton career was scoring the equalising goal in a 2-2 draw with Peterborough United in the Checkatrade Trophy, in which they won the game 7-6 on penalties with Davies successfully converting his spot-kick.

He was also an unused substitute in Brighton’s 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup this season.
