Wales international Daniel James is rumoured to be heading out on loan from Premier League giants Manchester United, if the Red Devils can secure the signing of Jadon Sancho, reports claim.
The former Swansea City winger signed for United in a £15 million move last summer and made an impressive start, netting three goals in his first four games for the club.
Since then, the Welshman has only managed one goal in 13 appearances in 2020 before the season was paused because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reports claim that James is to be offered a new deal by the club before any loan switch is to be put on the table, as they push to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Sancho.
James made his Wales debut in the European Championship qualifying game against Slovakia in March last year, as he netted the only goal in a 1-0 win for the Red Dragons.
Should the English wide man arrive at Old Trafford, the Manchester club are willing to listen to offers from fellow Premier League sides to secure game time for James.
The 22-year-old has shown great promise on the right flank, demonstrating his blistering pace on the counter-attack, which has helped him to adapt seamlessly to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s approach.
With the European Championships moved to next summer, Wales boss Ryan Giggs will want one of his top performers to be playing regularly, and if Sancho arrives, James may temporarily need to look elsewhere to do so.
