Danny Davies: Connah’s Quay Nomads sign Prestatyn Town Wing-Back
Connah’s Quay Nomads have signed wing-back Danny Davies from JD Cymru North outfit Prestatyn Town.
The 24-year-old joins the Nomads following a two-year year stint at the Seasiders that included a Manager’s Player of the Season award back in 2018/19 by ex-Nomad coach Neil Gibson.
The Welshman held a separate career as a professional cricketer for Northamptonshire and played in Australia; later returning to the UK after suffering an arm injury.
Davies claimed a Wales U17 cap against Scotland in 2012 and joined Chester City’s academy after making his Welsh Cymru Premier debut for Prestatyn when he was only 16.
On joining the Nomads, Davies said:
“It’s a great honour to be asked to come and join the champions.
“There’s going to be a lot riding on next year to back it up and I’m excited about that.”
Manager Andy Morrison added, “We are delighted to sign Danny,”
“He’s a young player who, I believe, has the qualities to make a major impact at Connah’s Quay Nomads and in the JD Cymru Premier.”
