Chris Venables has penned a new deal with Bala Town which will see him remain at Maes Tegid for a further season.

Venables, who won this season’s Cymru Premier Golden Boot award, committed to another year with the Lakesiders in a campaign which will see European football return to the Gwynedd club.

The 34-year-old will enter his fifth year with Bala after moving from Aberystwyth Town in 2016.

He has scored 53 goals in 120 appearances for the club in all competitions.

In a short statement from the club, Bala said: “The Lakesiders are delighted to reveal that captain Chris Venables has committed his future to the Club.

During his time at Bala, Venables won the Welsh Cup in 2017 and has earned call-ups to the Wales C squad in the last three years.
