Long-serving Barry Town United manager Gavin Chesterfield has penned a two-year contract extension with the club.
Chesterfield, who has been at the club since 2007 bar a spell away with Haverfordwest County, will remain at Jenner Park until the summer of 2022 at least.
The Welshman has taken charge of more than 450 appearances during his time in south Wales, taking the club from Welsh League Division Two, in his first season at the helm, to the heights of the JD Cymru Premier.
He also steered the Linnets to European football for the first time in 16 years when they achieved a third-placed finish in the top-flight last season.
Despite falling against Cliftonville in the two-legged preliminary round, Chesterfield will have another bite of the cherry next season after guiding the club to fourth this term.
The Football Association of Wales’ decision to curtail the Cymru Premier campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic ensured that the Linnets will compete in Europe again for a second consecutive season.
Chesterfield also led the club to a Welsh League Cup final in 2017 and two Welsh Cup semi-finals in 2013 and 2019 respectively.
Chesterfield said: “Firstly, I want to thank the board for their continued support and belief.
“I’m genuinely honoured to sign a new deal with the club. Going into my 14th season we have grown immeasurably together.
“The future looks exciting both on and off the field and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
