Forest Green Rovers have announced they will not be keeping Welshmen George Williams and Liam Shephard at the club after releasing them from their contracts.
The two are included on the Gloucestershire side’s retained list following the end of the 2019-2020 season.
Forest Green finished 11th in the League Two standings after the 2019/20 season was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
George Williams, 24, has been capped seven times at international level and featured in Chris Coleman’s squad for EURO 2016.
The attacker joined the Rovers following his release from Fulham in 2018 and has since made 42 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals.

He made 66 appearances for the club after joining from Peterborough United.
Williams and Shephard are joined by Dayle Grubb, Elliott Frear, Farrend Rawson, Junior Mondal, Kevin Dawson and Matt Mills in the list of those departing The New Lawn.
A club statement read, “We would like to thank them for their contributions to the club.”
