Charlton Athletic: Adam Matthews and Jonathan Williams sign contract extensions
Welsh international duo Adam Matthews and Jonathan Williams have signed contract extensions with Charlton Athletic.
Matthews and Williams were due to be out of contract at the end of June but have signed short-term deals to remain at the Valley.
The two will be allowed to play against Hull City today and complete their run-in of eight games, including a trip to the Cardiff City Stadium on June 30.
Addicks’ Director of Football, Steve Gallen said: “It has been a surreal few months with a lot of challenges but I’m very pleased we’ve been able to get everything sorted ahead of tomorrow’s restart.
“The squad is looking good and the players are excited to be getting back on the pitch.”
Matthews, 28, has made 21 appearances for Lee Bowyer’s side his season.
Wales compatriot Williams has made 19 appearances this season, assisting his teammates five times.
