Manager Darren Garmey has expressed his delight as the Hotspurs have achieved promotion at the first attempt since their relegation in 2019.
Garmey said, “We are all relieved that the FAW came to the correct decision on promotion and we can now look forward and plan for the challenge of the Cymru North.”
“Winning the league and gaining promotion is an outstanding achievement and one that we are very proud of.
“We have all worked tirelessly to make changes and pick the club up off the floor after the relegation so there is an added amount of pride and satisfaction.”
Having dropped points just three times all season, Garmey is also full of praise for his squad, saying “The players have been outstanding and I could not have asked much more of them.
Our home record was nearly perfect winning 17 out of 18 games only losing to Buckley in the Welsh Cup.
“If I’m honest we were improving week by week and there was more the come from us before the season was brought to a close.”
Holyhead Hotspur will be joined in the Cymru North by fellow promoted clubs Llanidloes Town and Holywell Town, while Airbus UK Broughton have been relegated to Wales’ Second Tier.
Returning to a hotly-contested Cymru North season is a prospect that Darren Garmey is relishing, as he stated “Our club ambitions as always will be to continue making strides as a club both on and off the field,”
“The committee are doing great work engaging in the community and we will continue to bridge the gap from our junior section into the senior set up.
“On the field, we will be aiming high and looking to build on the momentum we have amassed this season.”
