Wales midfielder Ffion Morgan has left FA Women’s Championship side Coventry United, the club have confirmed.

Morgan has departed the Butts Park Arena after one season following her move from Cardiff City Ladies last summer.

The 20-year-old’s side finished eighth in the Women’s Championship before the 2019-20 campaign was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A statement from the club read: “Coventry United can confirm the departure of Ffion Morgan from the club.

“We would like to thank Ffion for her service last season and wish her every success for the future.”

Morgan’s last appearance of the season came during Wales’ 2-0 friendly win over Estonia at the Racecourse in Wrexham.

The nine-capped international, who featured in Wales’ 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, is yet to play a part in the Euro 2021 qualifiers,

Jayne Ludlow’s side are hoping to reach their first major tournament, with Euro 2021 now rescheduled to take place in 2022 due to the pandemic.
