Cardiff Metropolitan defender Joel Edwards has departed the club to join Westfields.
During his time in South Wales, Edwards won the Nathaniel MG Cup and also played in the Europa League last season.
The 28-year-old joined in July 2017 and coincided his studies at the University with his playing commitments to the Cymru Premier outfit.
“I know Joel and regard him as a good friend,” said Westfield’s boss Phil Glover to the HerefordTimes after making the signing
“I kept an eye on him and where he was playing with Cardiff Met last year and he has played in the Europa League qualifiers.
“He’s an excellent lad and Cardiff Met play a good standard. Other teams at step two and three (of the non-league pyramid) were in for him.
“A factor was with him moving back to the area which has helped massively. He is a leader on the pitch and off it and is exactly what we want to make us stronger than last year.
Edwards is the third player to depart Cyncoed Campus this summer after Mael Davies and Will Evans also left the Archers.
