The JD Cymru Leagues summer transfer window will open later this month, the Football Association of Wales have confirmed.

Clubs competing in the Cymru Premier, Cymru North and Cymru South will be able to make transfers from Monday, 27 July.

They will have just over 11 weeks to bring in new additions before the window slams shut at midnight on Friday, 16 October.

The Welsh Premier Women’s League window will also open on the same date as the men’s top two tiers, although the closing date has yet to be confirmed by the FAW.

Clubs have been out of action since March when the Welsh domestic game was brought to a halt owing to the coronavirus pandemic, before the FAW made the decision to curtail the seasons two months later.

However, a number of players have already agreed pre-contract deals with clubs for next season’s campaign, but they will now need to be finalised when the window opens.

Aeron Edwards joined the newly-crowned Cymru Premier champions Connah’s Quay from The New Saints in a high-profile move in the Welsh top-flight.

The dates for the second transfer window of the campaign are yet to be confirmed, while there has not been any announcement on a start date for the 2020-21 season.
