Bro Goronwy moved up a division after Barmouth move to Mid Wales

Bro Goronwy have been promoted to the Premier Division of the North Wales Coast League.

They were initially placed in the Western Division One but have since moved up a league.

It comes after Barmouth & Dyffryn, initially given a place in the league, moved to the Mid Wales League.

Anglesey based side Glantraeth achieved a Tier Three Certificate but remained in the fifth tier.

The former Welsh Alliance League champions said they planned to appeal to the FAW about their placing.

Contesting the decision, a club statement from Glantraeth said: “Having had the news today that the club will be placed into tier 5 of Welsh football, the committee have decided that the decision of the North Wales Coast Football Association shall be appealed to the FA of Wales.

“The club will now await the outcome of the FAW for the final decision.”
