Jake Eyre returns to Airbus UK Broughton

Airbus UK Broughton have signed forward Jake Eyre from Gresford Athletic. 

Eyre had agreed to stay with Eddie Maurice-Jones’ side earlier this summer but has opted to return to the Wingmakers for a second spell.

Last season he scored 19 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for Gresford.

His goal scoring exploits saw him finish as Top Goalscorer and Players’ Player of the season.

A former youth player at Everton and Sheffield United, Eyre’s other experience in Welsh football has been with Denbigh Town and Rhyl.

In a short statement announcing his departure, Gresford said: “Everyone at Gresford Athletic thanks you for your time at the club and wishes you all the best for the future, Jake!”
