Swansea City have recruited Laura Davies and Lauren Lyons to assist them in defending their Welsh Premier Women’s League title.
The Swans are assembling their squad capable of retaining the league after winning it last season on a points-per-game basis.
Ian Owen’s side are also preparing for the 2020/21 Champions League, with the draw set to take place on Tuesday, 1 September 2020.
Joining the Swans for their title defence is Wales internatinal Lauren Lyons.
Centre-midfielder Lyons has WPWL experience with Cardiff City and Cycnoed Ladies.
“I’m very happy and excited to sign for the club and can’t wait to see what the season brings,” said Lyons after making the move to Llandarcy.
Another recruit for the Swans is Laura Davies, who joins the Champions after standing down from her role as manager of Abergavenny.
Commenting on her move, Davies said: “I’m over the moon to have signed for Swansea City this season.
“I’m excited to get started with the squad and look forward to the challenge ahead.”
As well as recruiting two new players, Swans bossed have retained most of last season’s title winning side.
Captain Alicia Powe was the first to commit to a further season.
She was later joined by fellow defenders Ellie Lake, Shaun Jenkins and Tija Richardson.
Brooke Llewellyn, Jess Williams and Nieve Jenkins then followed suit.
Midfielders Cerys Bevan, Emma Beynon, Kate Searle, Katy Hosford, Kelly Cook, Lauren Smith, Phoebe Ware and Sarah Adams then also signed up for the new campaign.
Front-duo Chloe Chivers and Stacey John-Davis have also put themselves forward for another year.
And the final player to commit is goalkeeper Gemma Border will enter her 20th season as a Swansea player when the 2020/21 season starts.
