Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly rejected a swap deal from Juventus for forward Raúl Jiménez.
The 29-year-old is wanted by the Serie A winners and a leading Welsh midfielder could be involved in the deal.
Italian outfit Corriere dello Sport say forward Gonzalo Higuaín was used as part of a possible deal, as well as offering Aaron Ramsey in a separate deal.
Wolves, however, rejected the deal as they value Mexican international Jiménez at €100m.
Last week, reports claimed that Ramsey was unwanted by new Juve manager Andrea Pirlo.
However, Ramsey’s representatives Avid Sports and Entertainment Group commented on the speculation, branding it “nonsense,” on social media.
The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his contract with I Bianconeri.
Ramsey featured in Juve’s 2–1 win over Olympique Lyonnais but was unable to progress further in the Champions League.
He made 35 appearances in all competitions under Maurizio Sarri, mainly featuring in Serie A.
Ramsey scored three goals and earned one assist in 24 appearances in the Italian top flight.
