Brymbo recruit seven new players for maiden Ardal Northern season

Brymbo have recruited seven new players ahead of the inaugural season of the Ardal Leagues.

Brothers Charlie and Ste Orsler have joined the club, alongside Alex Sheriff, Antoni Sarnowski, Joe Humphries, Rhys Peers and Sam Jones.

Manager Dave Roberts has looked to former club New Brighton Villa for a number of new players.

Heading the list of signings is Ste Orsler joins from the North East Wales Premier Division outfit, having rejected a number of options at Tier Three.

He is joined at Tanyfron by younger brother Charlie.

Charlie is a midfielder who has made the move from English non-league outfit Nantwich Town.

Commenting on the signing of the brotherly duo, manager Dave Roberts said: “Ste has tremendous leadership skills.

“He is an experienced player at this level and had many offers from Tier Three clubs.

His transition from a skilful wide man to solid central midfielder has been seamless.

“Charlie is a young up and coming player with huge potential coming in from Nantwich Town.

“The younger brother of Ste raised a few eyebrows from coaches and players alike with his quality on his first outing in training.

“An unknown quantity to many but has all the attributes to succeed at this level and I’m sure he will go on to great things with the club.

“A clean striker of the ball with an eye for a killer pass, I’m delighted to have Tiger with us for the season ahead.”

Like Orsler, former Chester academy midfielder Joe Humphries was another player who made the move from across the border.

He was a signing which came courtesy of reserve team boss Craig Ellison.

Commenting on the capture of the youngster, Roberts said: “Joe is an exciting young talent and has shown excellent ability in training so far.

“He’s a player we have very high hopes for and has a maturity beyond his years, looks very comfortable on the ball and has an eye for a killer pass and a goal.

He gives the team another string to our bow and is already settling.. in with the rest of the lads.

“We’re delighted to have Joe at the club and I’m looking forward to seeing in action as soon as the games start.

Forward Rhys Peers was Brymbo’s first new signing of the week.

Peers had previous experience of working with manager Dave Roberts.

“I’m looking forward to working with Rhys again with a new set of players,” said Peers’ boss Roberts on their reunion. “His winning mentality will be crucial.”

Completing the signings is former Bangor City, Rhyl and Denbigh Town Goalkeeper Antoni Sarnowski.

For such a young goalkeeper, Ant has bags of experience playing at a high standard and he’s a top keeper,” said Roberts.

He is joined by Sam Jones, who moves from New Brighton Villa, as well as Alex Sheriff, who will link up with the reserves team.
