Welsh Premier Women’s League to begin on 27 September

The 2020/21 Welsh Premier Women’s League season is to begin on Sunday, 27 September.

Games are to initially take place without spectators as the Welsh Government continues its cautious approach in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

All clubs in the top flight of Women’s football in Wales can play friendlies against one another to prepare for the upcoming campaign

Swansea City, who will represent Wales in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, have been permitted to play friendlies against teams in the top three tiers of England’s pyramid system.

The Swans will find out their qualifying round opponents on Tuesday, 1 September.

They will be drawn in a four-team group with the winner and runner-up both qualifying for the Round of 32.

These fixtures are due to begin on Wednesday, 7 October and end on Tuesday, 13 October.
