Aberbargoed’s Recreation Ground to host Cascade Ladies’ WPWL matches
Aberbargoed Buds’ Recreation Ground will host Cascade Ladies’ Welsh Premier Women’s League matches this season.
The Rec will be Cascade’s permanent home for the upcoming season after the club used a number of facilities last season.
Aberbargoed’s ground is compliant with Welsh Premier Women’s League regulations.
WPWL rules state that clubs must have a stand which can accommodate a minimum of 50 spectators.
The ground is also Tier Three certified after being given a certificate by the Football Association of Wales.
Cascade are gearing up for their first season in the top flight of Welsh Women’s football.
Top-flight football hasn’t taken place in the Caerphilly County Borough since 2012, with Caerphilly Castle Ladies’ ill-fated 2012/2013 season being the last.
A start date for the league season of Sunday, 27, September has been announced by the FAW, however, games will be played without spectators initially.
In preparation of the campaign, the Caerphilly based club Cascade have signed Daisy Evans and Holly Hughes.
Sian Elizabeth-Rees has also become assistant manager to boss Sam Daniels.
