Craig Pritchard returns to Gresford Athletic

Gresford Athletic have re-signed attacking midfielder Craig Pritchard.

Pritchard was on the search for a new club after his last team FC Oswestry Town folded.

The 23-year-old rejoins the Wrexham side for a second spell and is working their boss for a second time after time at Clappers Lane and at Denbigh Town

He links up with his brother Mike, who arrived at the club a month ago.

Commenting on his return, Pritchard said: “I’m looking forward to the season ahead whenever it restarts! It looks like a promising season with a great group.”

“I am delighted that Craig has signed for Gresford Athletic,” said manager Eddie Maurice-Jones after securing his latest signing.

“Craig is a player who is technically gifted, intelligent and has the ability to take this already quality squad to the next level.

“Having previously worked with Craig at Gresford Athletic and Denbigh Town, where he arguably played his best football, I know exactly what we can all expect.

“His commitment and worth ethic is a big part of his personality and I am confident he will be a big success.”

The Wales Futsal International has experience at a number of clubs in the Welsh pyramid.

Pritchard has played for Airbus UK Broughton, Castell Alun Colts, as well as Llay Miners Welfare.

He also featured for Colwyn Bay during their last years in the English pyramid system and most recently had a spell in New Zealand with Melville United.

Gresford have been busy in the summer transfer market as they assemble a squad capable of competing at a second tier level.

Adam Hesp, Barry Torrence, Corey Smart, Max Peate, Sam Molyneux have all put pen-to-paper ahead of the 2020/21 season.
