Wales youngster Harry Pinchard on trial with Manchester City ahead of possible transfer
Wales U19s midfielder Harry Pinchard is to begin a two-week trial with Manchester City.
Pinchard, a central midfielder who played for ten years with Cardiff City’s academy is to train with the Citizens ahead of a possible move.
He alongside Sam Parsons were not offered professional terms by the Bluebirds, thus paving the way for a transfer.
In his search of a new club, the 18-year-old had most recently been training League Two outfit Newport County, but now Manchester could be his destination.
The news of the trial with the 2019/20 Carabao Cup winners was confirmed on Pinchard Soccer School, who wished the youngster well in his trial period.
In a short but brief social media post, it read: “Good luck to our very own Harry Pinchard. Harry starts a two week trial at Manchester City U23’s tomorrow.”
Pinchard is a Wales Under 19s international and played in all three of their qualifying matches in November.
He alongside Premier League winner Neco Williams, scored in Wales’ 3-0 win over Poland.
The Chepstow-born midfielder was part of the Cardiff U18s side which won the PDL2 South title in 2019.
With his links to Manchester City, Pinchard is the second Cardiff City youngster to be linked with a move to Manchester City this summer.
Cameron Coxe, 21, had reported interest from the Citizens but ended up joining Vanarama National League side, Solihull Moors.
