Penybont have completed the signing of Merthyr Town defender Ismail Yakubu.
Yakubu has joined the Cymru Premier outfit after his former club Merthyr Town took the decision to mothball their season.
The 35-year-old is a former teammate of manger Rhys Griffiths, from their time together at Newport County.
Centre-back Yakubu has seven seasons of experience at English Football League Two level.
Nine years of his career were spent with Barnet, where he won the National League title in 2005.
He was also a play-off winner with AFC Wimbledon, where he spent one season, helping them to promotion through the play-offs.
Yakubu then spent four years at Rodney Parade, making a total of 139 appearances for the Exiles, scoring 15 goals.
Since then, he has been playing in the English non-league for Hemel Hayes & Yeading, Hempstead, Kingstonian and Woking, before a loan spell at Penydarren Park last season.
He made his debut for Penybont in their 5-1 defeat to Bala Town.
