Carl Robinson has been appointed as manager of Western Sydney Wanderers.
The former Wales international was unveiled as the successor to Jean-Paul de Marigny, who was let go earlier in the week.
He will be assisted by former Cardiff City and Rangers striker Kenny Miller.
“Sometimes in football you get an opportunity too good to turn down,” Robinson said.
“This is a fantastic football club, a big club in the A-League and one that has set the foundations to be very successful.
“I am joining a club which I think is not just [aiming for] the top six, we want top four, top two,” said Robinson.
“Carl is a fantastic individual, with high ideals and values for football and developing his playing group,” said Wanderers chairman Paul Lederer.
“There is an absolute need for this club to perform strongly, a strong Wanderers on the field means a strong A-League.
“In Carl Robinson, we have a leader who understands the league, what our club values most and is determined to bring us the success we crave on the field and in the development of our future players and leaders.”

During his eight month spell with the New South Walian side, he brought in Wales midfielder Joe Ledley.
Ledley, however, has returned to the United Kingdom and a return to the Southern Hemisphere seems unlikely.
