Aberystwyth Town have confirmed the signing of midfielder Matias Etchegoyen, who joined the Seasiders on the final day of the transfer window last Friday (October 16).
The 25-year-old joins the Cymru Premier outfit from Mons Calpe SC, who play in the Gibraltar National League.
Etchegoyen, who was born in Florida, Argentina, made his senior debut with Club Atlético Acassuso, who are based in Greater Buenos Aires and currently compete in Primera B – the third tier of Argentinian football.
Since leaving the club in 2018, he has gone on to represent Italian side Varese and Metropolitanos from Venezuela.

Commenting on the arrival of Etchegoyen, the Black and Greens manager Gavin Allen said: “I am very happy to be able to welcome Matias to our squad.
“We have been busy over recent weeks in looking to recruit new players to strengthen certain areas – Matias has played in several different countries and his experience and knowledge will be a huge asset for the team as we hopefully push for a spot in the Top 6.”
The right-footed midfielder links up with an Aber side who currently find themselves seventh in the Cymru Premier, having won two, drawn three and lost four of their games to date.
