Penycae have appointed Lee Pope as their new first-team manager.
He takes over from Ben Heath who announced that he was leaving the club last month.
Pope has left his role as Academy Manager and Head of Elite Performance at the Cefn Druids to take up this role.
Speaking on his appointment, the former Ancients man said: “It’s a great club with a devoted board and a young and talented playing staff, from my initial meetings I can tell everyone is desperate to see the club progress both on and off the field so the future is certainly bright.
It’s my job now to help do my part to take the club where they want to get to, obviously, the leagues are on hold and with the new tier three a relatively unknown in terms of oppositions there’s no ever been a better time to take over from Ben who has done a great job as manager in recent years.
“I’ve made it clear that I want to coach at the highest possible level I can get to and I really believe with Penycae I have the opportunity to show my ability as a coach.
“I can’t wait to get going. I’m really grateful to Penycae and the board for the opportunity.”
