Layton Maxwell leaves post of manager of Cardiff Draconians

Cardiff Draconians have ‘reluctantly’ parted company with first-team manager Layton Maxwell.

Maxwell, who has overseen the clubs remarkable transformation is stepping down from his role due to increased work commitments.

In his place, first-team coach Phil Booker and assistant manager Darren Buttle will front a new look management team.

The two will take charge of the North Cardiff based side when they begin life in the third tier for the first time after their admission to the Ardal Leagues.

In his last season with the Dracs, they finished second in the Premier Division of the South Wales Alliance League, with the season being decided on a points-per-game basis.
