Briton Ferry Llansawel have announced the signings of Kurtis March and Jon Hood.
Hood had most recently been playing for Surrey based side Cobham FC where in his last appearance, he scored a hat-trick in the Fourth Round of the FA Vase.
The 29-year-old returns to Welsh football after leaving Barry Town United for New Zealand in January 2020.
Announcing his arrival on social media, The Reds’ Twitter account tweeted: “HOOD IS A RED! A player who needs little introduction. We are delighted to announce the signing of the prolific Jonathan Hood from Cobham FC.”
Commenting on his arrival to Old Road, Hood tweeted: “I can’t wait! I’ve worked with Andy (Dyer) a few times, I’m looking forward to working with him and all the staff.
“Thank you to Cobham for the last couple of months and no doubt I’ll see you all season.”
Hood spent three seasons with Barry Town United in the Cymru Premier, helping them qualify for the Europa League in 2019.
He also played for Afan Lido, Carmarthen Town and Port Talbot Town in the Welsh top flight, as well as a brief spell with KF Ægir in Iceland.
Also joining Briton Ferry is experienced defender Kurtis March, who has made the move from West Wales Premier League outfit Mumbles Rangers.
The 27-year-old previously played for Swansea City until June 2015.
In between his time at the Liberty, he had a brief spell at Port Talbot, alongside Jon Hood.
He later moved to Aberystwyth Town and then Llanelli Town.
Their arrivals at the club adds to the busy recruitment drive the club have conducted in the of season. Briton Ferry’s squad already contains players such as former Carmarthen Town forward Luke Bowen, James Loveridge and Seif Abouarram, who won the league last season.
Last season’s top scorer Mark Jones has also returned, following the expiration of his loan spell with Haverfordwest County.
