Jack Atkinson and Jack Dixon seal moves to Prestatyn Town
Prestatyn Town have made the double signing of goalkeeper Jack Atkinson and midfielder Jack Dixon.
The Seasiders are continuing their preparations for the 2020/21 Cymru North season as they hope to defend their title.
First to join Prestatyn is 21-year-old shot stopper Jack Atkinson, who is returning to Wales after a spell in Gibraltar with Premier Division outfit Boca Gibraltar.
Formerly of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy, Atkinson’s experience in Wales came at Bangor City, during the 2019/20 season.
He also played for Bradford Park Avenue and Whitchurch Alport in the English non-league.
Commenting on his arrival to Bastion Gardens, Atkinson said: “I’m really looking forward to getting going and getting the team back where it belongs, in the Cymru Premier.
“I’m looking forward to working with Ryan and the quality players that we’ve signed.
“I believe we can be a real force whenever the season commences.
“I’m delighted Ryan has given me the chance to establish myself as a number one at such a big club.”
Joining Atkinson at the North Wales club is former Everton academy product Jack Dixon.
Dixon began his senior career with Airbus UK before a move to Crystal Palace and then Morecambe.
He had most recently been at Brickfield Rangers.
“I cant thank the manager enough,” said the player after his move was confirmed.
“Prestatyn Town have given me a tremendous opportunity and it once I was not willing to give up.
“I’m delighted to be joining and I can’t wait to prove myself once the season get’s going.”
Manager Ryan Turner added: “I’m hopeful that Jack can fulfil his potential at the club.
“I believe that Prestatyn can give him the platform to develop into a top player for years to come.”
