Update from Penybont boss Rhys Griffiths ahead of transfer deadline

Penybont manager Rhys Griffiths has given a brief update on the clubs potential transfer business in the January transfer window.

Griffiths’ men are currently sixth in the Cymru Premier, with the league suspended due to the Level Four restrictions imposed by the Welsh Government.

No players have come through the door for Penybont this month and Griffiths is coy on any further additions to the squad.

“I’m more than happy with the squad and have faith in our players,” said Griffiths on any possible movement from his side in the remainder of the transfer period.

“We’ve got options in every position and the likes of Mason Jones-Thomas still waiting for an opportunity to show what he can do.

“Obviously it’s strange times. For Penybont a lack of activity in the transfer window is due to me being happy with my squad and having enough to achieve our goals.”

Penybont have returned to training as they prepare for the resumption of the season.

Bont have played the least amount of games in the division but currently hold a place in the Europa League playoffs.
