Lincoln City: League One high-flyers sign Welsh defender Regan Poole
League One high-flyers Lincoln City have announced the permanent signing of Welsh defender Regan Poole from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.
Poole, 22, came through the ranks at Newport County, where he made his professional debut aged just 16.
The defender then signed for Premier League side Manchester United in September 2015 and had loan spells at Northampton Town and Newport County.
Looking for regular first-team football, Poole joined MK Dons on a permanent basis in June 2019, where he made 51 appearances, scoring three goals.
Poole also has international experience, capped 23 times at youth level for Wales, whilst being called up numerous times for the senior team.
After joining the promotion-chasing Imps, Poole told the club website, “I am delighted, the club is a project I wanted to be a part of.
“I can play in a number of positions, I like to play forward from the back and the football the manager plays suits me.
I am really excited to get going. I want to get playing and help the club do well.”
