Daniel James to be loaned out next season – reports
Wales’ Dan James has been linked with a move away from Manchester United next season, according to reports in Manchester.
James has struggled for minutes this season, only making seven appearances for the Red Devils in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old did however impress in United’s 4-0 win in the Europa League on Thursday night against Spanish outfit Real Sociedad by getting his name on the scoresheet, putting the cherry on top of the his side’s five star performance.
It is believed that James will face a battle to get in the starting eleven on a regular basis at Old Trafford and so a loan move will likely benefit his development, believed to be to a Premier League team according to Manchester Evening News.
The main candidates that James is rumoured to be joining in the summer is Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United; after a permanent deal fell through in January 2019 for the winger to join the Yorkshire club from Swansea City.
However, it is said that Burnley and Brighton are also interested in the Hull City academy product.

One particular moment that would have put him on Man United’s initial radar was his superb goal against Brentford in the FA Cup fifth round, which he displayed his blistering pace, covering 84 yards in 8.48 seconds.
The following summer, after seeing his transfer to join Leeds United fall through he was packing his bags and joined the 13 time Premier League champions for a reported £15 million fee.
After the emergence of Mason Greenwood, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial continuing to be selected over the Welshman, he hasn’t been Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s favoured choice and according to Ryan Giggs, speaking in January to Stadium Astro he revealed that James was “frustrated”.
Giggs said: “I think Ole would take the safe option and keep as many quality players in the club as he can.
“Yes, it would be frustrating. I know that Dan is frustrated. Just like any other player who isn’t getting regular football. But when you are at a big club like United when you get the chance take it.”
