Rob Page to continue to manage Wales in absence of Ryan Giggs

Rob Page is to continue in his role as interim manager of Wales with Ryan Giggs remaining absent.

Wales’ 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign this month with fixtures against Belgium and the Czech Republic.

There is also a friendly against Mexico sandwiched in between on the 27 March, with Page overseeing those fixtures.

In a short statement, the FAW said: “The Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Ryan Giggs have mutually agreed that he will not be involved in the upcoming international camp.

“Robert Page will take charge for the next three matches against Belgium, Mexico and the Czech Republic and will be supported by Albert Stuivenberg as was the case during the last international window in November.

“The Cymru squad for these upcoming matches will be announced on Monday 15th March.

“The FAW will not be making any further comment at this current time.”

Wales haven’t lost in their last 11 competitive outings and claimed promotion to League A of the UEFA Nations League, following victories against Finland and Ireland, under Page’s stewardship.
