The New Saints claimed a 4-1 victory over Caernarfon Town in front of new head coach Anthony Limbrick.
Blaine Hudson and Ryan Brobbel both secured braces as the pair aimed to impress the new man at the helm whilst also paying tribute to Chris Seargeant, who will work as an assistant to Limbrick.
Paolo Mendes scored a consolation goal for the Canaries but the damage was done in what was a resounding win for the Saints.
The Oswestry side’s win sees them keep on the toes of Cymru Premier leaders Connah’s Quay as they await the fixtures for Phase Two.
Caernarfon meanwhile make the top six for the second phase, despite theheavy defeat after Penybont won 2-0 against Haverfordwest County.
The New Saints showed their attacking intent early on as Adam Roscrow, making his first start under Seargeant, headed wide from an Adrian Cieslewicz cross.
TNS put down an early marker as they opened the scoring through their second through Blaine Hudson in their first meaningful opportunity.
Ben Clark whipped a ball into the penalty area and Hudson scored past Tibbets with a bullet of a strike to give the hosts the lead.
Caernarfon had an opportunity to respond almost immediately though Mendes was unable to capitalise as his header sailed wide over the bar.
The New Saints however would be the side who looked likely to score the next goal and they almost did as Brobbel’s free-kick cannoned off the post as they tried to assed their dominance.
Huw Griffiths’s team had their second chance of the game towards the end of the first half as Michael Hayes got a shot away within the TNS box. The opportunity however ended up hitting the side netting.
The Saints doubled their lead at the start of the second half as they went on the counterattack from a Canaries corner, as the ball got passed to Ryan Brobbel who slotted it past Tibbets.
A few minutes later, Darren Thomas had a volley for Caernarfon Town inside the penalty area that just wide of Paul Harrison’s post as they sought a goal which would revive their hopes.
Things got harder for Caernarfon as their stand-in captain Michael Parker got sent off for dissent as the away side went a man down whilst being two goals behind.
Brobbel would score in his second successive game back after a seven-month lay-off to further increase their advantage in fine fashion.
The tricky attacker smacked a screamer into the top of the goal, leaving Josh Tibbetts stranded Tibbetts as the ball rattled the back of the net.
Towards the end of the match Blaine Hudson got his second and TNS’ fourth as he scored another header from a cross, highlighting his aerial presence.
In stoppage time Huw Griffiths’s team got a consolation as Mendes got a shot past Paul Harrison to stop TNS from keeping a clean sheet.
