Lack of finishing for Met

Cardiff Met provided various opportunities during the whole match but no one could not find the finishing touch besides the Emlyn Lewis header.

Harry Owen was the main man in the match for the Archers as he kept going past the Barry side with ease.

The finishing touch just wasn’t there like the whole of this season , Met haven’t found an out and out goalscorer who has that finisher instinct.

Lucky result for Barry ?

Barry Town could count themselves lucky as many fans would probably think this be a steamroll performance for the Town after last week’s performance.

Barry were caught out in the first half with limited chances for the away side in which looked to shake the team.

Whatever was said at the break from Gavin Chesterfield definitely made an impact as the side scored two with a late winner from Evan Press.

Reasons to be optimistic at Cardiff Met

The last two performances for Cardiff Met have both been losses but both performances , Met have looked better than they have been.

The losses to Caernarfon and today’s result against Barry have shown that Met can fight close to the top teams in the league.

The last two games Harry Owen has made a massive difference to the team with getting a goal and being the most creative player for the team today.

Barry good on the Press

Both goals scored by Barry the pressing play was there and delivered goals on both occasions , with goals from Wharton and Press to secure the win .

The first goal being an interception at the back to then pressing from the back with a cross delivered from Cotterill and finished by Jarvis.

The Press finish the better of the two with Hutson dribbling past the Met team with Press slotting home on the right side of the box .

Evan Press scored his 3rd goal of the season as the youngster has scored in back to back games . He also played factor in the build up for the first goal by passing it to Cotterill.

What now for both sides ?

Barry Town with that win currently sit in fourth after Bala won 5- 0 vs Flint , The objective for this season is aiming for that third place slot which is guaranteed a European spot .

For met it’s much different as they currently are placed tenth but hope to get a seventh place finish like they did in the 2018/19 season .
