The New Saints kept themselves in pole position for the Cymru Premier title as they narrowly defeated Penybont at Park Hall.
A Louis Robles goal at the start of the second half was enough for Anthony Limbrick’s team to clinch all three points.
The game was a close affair through the match as TNS struggled to get shots on target with Penybont also struggling to make Paul Harrison work for the majority of the 90 minutes.
The Robles goal was one a few shots in the fixture but still an important one.
TNS remain top of the JD Cymru Premier over Connah’s Quay on goal difference. The Nomads secured a 1-0 victory over Barry Town to stay on the tails of the saints.
The victory for the Oswestry based side is the sixth consecutive one and it also means Limbrick keeps his 100% winning streak going since joking the club
Within the first couple of minutes, Nathan Wood whipped a ball in for Penybont, but no one could get on to it.
The first shot of the match came in the first quarter, Rhys Griffiths team as Ashley Evans got an opportunity away as the ball got headed out from a Kane Owen corner, but Evans’s shot blasted over the bar.
The Saints first chance came six minutes later, as Danny Redmond had a shot from outside the penalty area that blazed over Ashley Morris’s net.
A couple of minutes after, Jon Routledge had an opportunity within the 18 yard-area as the ball hit the side netting.
Straight after Robles and then Astles both had headed chances within two minutes in the Penybont box but neither could hit the target.
Not too long before the break Kostya Georgievsky ran into the TNS box and managed to get a shot on target, however, Paul Harrison gathered the ball with ease.
At the start of the second fourty-five TNS took the lead with Louis Robles playing a one-two with Ryan Brobbel and Robles got into the box, scored into the left side of the net past Morris.
Just before the hour mark, Louis Robles nearly got his second goal of the game as he forced Morris into a fine save for a shot from just outside the penalty area.
TNS will now go onto face Caernarfon Town away at the Oval on Tuesday.
Penybont will be away at Jenner Park to face Barry Town.
