Liam Screen succeeds Gareth Wilmott as Panteg manager

Liam Screen has been appointed as the new first-team manager of Ardal Leagues outfit Panteg.

Screen, who replaces Gareth Wilmott, following his retirement from football this week, takes charge of the Pontypool based side after years of service to Gwent football.

He has had numerous spells with the club and was announced as a new signing in September before the season was curtailed.

In a short statement released on Twitter, Panteg said: “We are delighted to announce Liam Screen as our first team manager.

“We believe Liam is absolutely the best person to take our club into the Ardal Southern League and we wish him all the very best.”

Panteg’s director of football, Mark Taylor added: “Liam has been part of our club for several years.

“We believe Liam’s knowledge of the game and the respect he has in our dressing room makes him perfect for this job.”
