Welsh clubs competing in both the Champions League and the UEFA Europa Conference League today found out their opponents.
Connah’s Quay were drawn first and will play four-time Armenian champions FC Alashkert in the first round of qualifying. Andy Morrison’s men will begin their Champions League campaign at home on either July 6 or July 7, before travelling to the country situated between Asia and Europe.
Meanwhile in the UECL, there were three draws to Ireland for the Welsh sides, including two to the North of the country.
Bala Town, who will play at home first, face NIFL Premiership winners Larne, who are competing in Europe for the first time.
The New Saints, also drawn against Northern Irish opposition, will face Glentoran, with Anthony Limbrick’s side being away for the first leg.
Lowest seeds Newtown have earned a glamour tie against Dundalk, who are currently managed by former Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton.
All UEFA Europa Conference League fixtures are due to take place on July 8 and then July 15, however an issue has arisen for the venues.
Both Newtown and The New Saints, are both scheduled to play their home legs on July 8 and have stated that Park Hall will be their venue.
It may mean that one team may have to reverse their tie, play at an alternative venue or play at an earlier date.
