Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is set to depart Crystal Palace after seven years of service at Selhurst Park.
The 34-year-old, currently on international duty with Wales at EURO 2020, joined the Eagles from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2014 and had been their first-choice goalkeeper until the arrival of Vicente Guaita.
Following the arrival of Jack Butland on October 16 2020 when Wayne Hennessy was injured only two days prior.
He has only featured six times in all competitions in the last two seasons with the Eagles.
Bangor-born Hennessy made over 100 appearances in South London.
The second all-time appearance maker with 96 caps for Wales is set to be released along with 21 other players at the club.
Other international players such as Mamadou Sakho, Patrick van Aanholt, Gary Cahill, Nathaniel Clyne, and Andros Townsend. These players will all leave when their contracts expire on 30th June.
The Welshman was the first-choice keeper for Palace from 2015 – 2018 making 85 appearances over that time.
Currently, Wayne Hennessy hasn’t yet featured for Wales at EURO 2020 with Danny Ward filling the boots for the goalkeeper position with plaudits praising the second choice Leicester City keeper.
