Tyrone Ofori moves on from Newtown to sign for Stafford Rangers

Forward Tyrone Ofori has moved on from Newtown by signing with English non-league outfit Stafford Rangers.

Ofori, was on trial on Saturday with the Midlands side, scoring on his debut in a pre-season friendly against Newcastle Town.

On his experience, he tweeted: “Nice to get some minutes and to see some fans back in the stadium.”

The 20-year-old spent one season with the Robins, scoring nine goals in 28 appearances, helping them qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Prior to his move to Latham Park, he played at the Cefn Druids, after being brought to the league by then Ancients boss Huw Griffiths.

He scored two goals in 17 outings for the Druids in the previous season.

Despite their qualification, Ofori has opted for a new opportunity. In line with his departure, Newtown have signed experienced former Football League forward.

Williams played for the likes of Walsall, Peterborough and Newport County at a professional level.
