Wales international Ffion Morgan has joined Bristol City following a season-long spell with fellow FA Championship side Crystal Palace.
The 21-year-old rejoins Lauren Smith’s side having previously spent three years as a youth player at Bristol Academy between 2015-2018.
After departing Bristol City she joined Cardiff City before suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury whilst on youth international duty which kept her out for the season.
Morgan recovered and has since enjoyed season long spells with Coventry United and Crystal Palace in the Championship.
“I’m grateful and excited by the opportunity to join Bristol City and link up with Lauren (Smith) again after working closely with her at international level,” Morgan told Bristol City’s official website.
“This is my first deal with a full-time club, which is a big step for me and will allow me to fully focus on my football and become the best player possible on the pitch.
“From experience I know the Championship is a very competitive league with a lot of strong teams, and I’m determined to contribute to success on the pitch and help the club achieve their ambitions.”
The full-back stroke winger played 14 times for Palace last season as they finished seventh in the Championship
Morgan becomes the second Welsh player to join the Robins ahead of the 2021/22 season after Chloe O’Conner signed from Cardiff Met earlier this month.
Since making her senior Wales debut against Northern Ireland in April 2017 Morgan has gone on to win ten caps.
Her last cap came as a late substitute in Wales recent friendly against Scotland at Parc y Scarlets.
