Risca United have signed midfielder Lewis Ellis after the departure of their goalkeeper Shaun Gardiner.
Midfielder Lewis, has moved on from league rivals Pontypridd Town and joined the Ystrad Mynach-based outfit.
Ellis, 29, made 20 appearances for both Pontypridd and Cwmbran Celtic in the 2019/20 season, scoring two goals.
He made his debut for the Cuckoos in their 3-3 draw with Llantwit Major on Saturday, in which they won on penalties.
Goalkeeper Shaun Gardiner meanwhile has dropped down a division to join Abertillery Bluebirds.
Gardiner was not on the bench for Simon Berry’s side on Saturday and instead stood goalkeeper Jordan Dibble.
He was the first-team goalkeeper for Risca in the 2019/20 season, featuring on seven occasions.
As well as incoming, there is also a departure for Abertillery Bluebirds to contend with. They have lost one of their key forwards with striker Brandon Withers joining Ardal South West rivals Abertillery Excelsiors.
Withers made a substitutes appearance for Lee Thomas’ men in their 3-1 win over their local rivals but has since crossed the divide to join Chris Wildy’s side.
A statement from the Excelsiors said: “We are pleased to announce the signing of Brandon Withers. He is coming back home to where he started. We would like to thank Abertillery Bluebirds for the cooperation in this transfer and for getting it sorted quickly.”
