Adran Premier starlets snapped up by Women’s Super League duo

Two of the Adran Premier’s youngest stars, Maisie Miller and Niamh Duggan have been signed up by two Women’s Super League clubs.

Duggan has joined the academy of Reading, which has produced a number of senior Wales internationals over the years.

The Royals have Gemma Evans, Natasha Harding, Rachel Rowe, and Bethan Roberts in their ranks, with the 16-year-old hoping to follow in their footsteps.

Rowe herself played in the then Welsh Premier Women’s League for both Cardiff City and their main rivals Swansea City.

The 16-year-old played in all of Aberystwyth’s league fixtures last season, scoring one goal. She also helped Aberystwyth reach the semi-final of the League Cup, defeating Cascade Ladies. 

Miller meanwhile has moved down South and has linked up with Brighton & Hove Albion, whose first-team are managed by former England manager Hope Powell. They have centurion Kayleigh Green in their squad.

Her time at Victoria Road saw her win Managers Player of the Year, marking a successful first season in senior football. She played in all 16 of their fixtures, racking up 1444 minutes. 

Both were recently involved in the Women’s Under-17 international with England. Duggan started meanwhile Miller was on the bench. Wales, managed by Loren Dykes, drew 1-1 with the Three Lions with FAW Trust Academy North’s Amy Richardson scoring Cymru’s goal.

Lily Billingham, Megan Bowen, Elin Jones Emily Roberts, Manon Pearce, were the other players from the Adran Premier involved in the fixture.
