Connah’s Quay Nomads have snapped up former Wales International Neal Eardley
Neal Eardley has signed for Connah’s Quay Nomads following his release from Burton following a brief loan spell at Barrow last season.
Eardley has played in the English Premier League as he featured 33 times for Blackpool in the 2010/2011 season as the tangerines couldn’t avoid the drop.
The full-back has also featured for the Welsh national team as he featured 16 times with his last cap coming in 2011.
He has got a brother which is known around the Welsh football league system as Sean Eardley the brother of Neal used to manage Caernarfon Town as he is the current manager of Llandudno.
He also spent time playing alongside his brother when both brothers were in the youth set up of Oldham Athletic.
He has featured over 440 times in club football as he joins up with Dave Edwards and David Cotterill as players who featured for Wales and play in the JD Cymru Premier League this season.
Connah’s Quay Nomads host The New Saints tomorrow as this could be the first game for the full-back if the paperwork was approved in time.
A more likely game he could feature would be a Tuesday night game against Newtown.
