Bangor City suspended from football after non-payment of player salaries

Bangor City have been suspended from all activities relating to football by the Football Association of Wales.

It means a full-stop to their operation as a football club, which as it stands, means they will be unable to fulfil their Cymru North fixtures.

They will be unable to train or play at Nantporth, or conduct any administration duties.

The Citizens have not complied with a Disciplinary Panel Order imposed on them by the FAW back on October 29.

The Bangor Aye claim that five claimants are demanding salaries up to the region of £53,000.

Last month, Hugo Colace was dismissed from his role as manager of the club and replaced by Matt Ovambe.

Colace claimed that there were ‘constant delays’ and issues of salary payments for players and staff.

Bangor say they will publish an official statement on their website tomorrow.
