Llanelli Town are up and running under their new manager Lee John as they defeated his former side 3-1 at Stebonheath Park.
All four goals came in the final 15 minutes of the match with Nathan Logan scoring the first goal of the John era. Callum Saunders added Llanelli’s second before Kyran Steadman pulled one back, but then Saunders scored another to win the match.
The first half started promising with both teams pushing to create chances but both teams cutting each others out.
On 19 mins we had our first substitution and it doesn’t look good for club Captain Robert Thomas hearing after the game he’s torn his ACL we wish him the best of luck with his recovery
The home side were dealt a blow early on as Robert Thomas had to be withdrawn from the match with a suspected anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Both teams pushed for the opening goal with both goalkeepers keeping their teams in the game. First Coughlin parried a great ball into the box safely away. A fine double save from Dimonekene then kept his team at halftime still in the game
The second half started with promise from the home team but couldn’t get going and the game didn’t look like getting a goal this evening
But on 75 mins the breakthrough with came with Nathan Logan finding space and a beautiful strike on his left side from 25 yards found the top corner.
Two mins later it was 2-0 to the home side, this time Saunders picked up the ball and struck it from 20 yards which gave Coughlin no chance.
Keen not to fall away completely, Goytre got one back as after a few half saves, Kyran Steadman tucked home past the Llanelli goalkeeper.
The celebrations would be short-lived as in the late stages of stoppage time, Llanelli got their match-winning goal. Man of the match Saunders from a considerable effort curled a free-kick into the top corner.
