Cardiff will look forward to the semi finals as they look to end the season with some silverware.

Cardiff started quickly and earned an early corner. A good corner into the box found the head of Zoe Atkins who headed down low towards the corner. Barry keeper Erin Brennan was sharp diving low to turn the ball away.

The home side pressed their visitors back in the early part of the game forcing Barry deep into their half. Using wide areas to try and get the ball into the six yard box.

Catherine Walsh tried a long range effort but put her shot wide of the goal.

Amy Williams robbed Lauren Harris of the ball out on the left and made her way into the box. Shooting from a angle Williams fired a shot across the goal.

Williams was causing problems for Barry soon after, Faith Mulenga forced to put William’s cross over the bar for a corner. From the corner Catherine Walsh headed over as the Bluebirds looked for the opening goal.

Cardiff did find their goal coming a fine passing move that was finished off by Megan Saunders. Danielle Broadhurst feeding Williams who gave the ball to Williams out wide. Williams passed to Emily Bayliss who sent in a pin point cross for Saunders to tuck away.

It was soon two as Cardiff’s pressure told. Seren Watkins putting in a perfect corner for Siobhan Walsh to head home.

Barry did come back into the game towards the end of the half. Mackenzie Olden hitting a shot straight at Amelia Forkings and Taite Trivett putting a good cross in that was just out of reach of Olden.

Cardiff started the second half like the first with Broadhurst forcing Brennen into a save. Then Amy Williams went round the Barry keeper only to see her effort hit the post.

Cardiff got a third from another Seren Watkins corner with Catherine Walsh this time powering the header into the net.

Just after the hour mark and Cardiff made it four. Amazingly another header this time from Zoe Atkins. Emily Bayliss with a good ball into the box for Atkins to outjump her opponents to score.

Barry soon made their first chance with Anna Houghton coming on and making an instant impact. Playing a one-two with Olden, Houghton put the ball past the advancing Forkings to give the visitors a consolation.
