The New Saints and Bala Town face potential matches against Conference League quarter-finalists Bodo/Glimt and Motherwell.

Bala Town could potentially play Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell if they overcome Sligo Rovers in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The Lakesiders know if they win in their first qualifying round tie they will have the reward of playing against the team that finished fifth in the Scottish top flight last season.

The New Saints today found out who their opponents will be should they either win or lose their Champions League first qualifying round tie with Linfield.

Should they win then they will play the winners of the tie between Norweigan champions Bodø/Glimt or the winner of the preliminary round.

Bodø/Glimt were in the group stages of the Conference League last season, beating both Celtic and eventual winners AS Roma, who are managed by Jose Mourinho.

Should Antony Limbrick’s men fail to overcome the NIFL Premiership winners then they will face the loser of Malmo or the winner of the preliminary round.

Víkingur Reykjavík, FCI Levadia, La Fiorita, and Inter Club d’Escaldes are all involved in the preliminary round, which is being held in Iceland.

Newtown, the lowest-ranked Welsh side in the competition play HB Torshavn of the Faroe Islands. If Chris Hughes can navigate the Robins past the Faroese then the reward is a tie against Spartak Trnava of Slovakia.

The UECL second qualifying round matches would take place on July 21 and then the return leg would be on July 28, with all games played on Thursdays.
