Cardiff Met 3-0 The New Saints: As it happened

Cardiff Met take on TNS at Cyncoed in the second round of matches in the Adran Premier.

After the last week’s postponements, the league roars back into action, and sees two sides who lost on the opening day battle it out in South Wales.

After last year’s second-place finish, Met began their campaign at the Swansea.com Stadium, where they lost 2-0 to the Swans. Goals from Katy Hosford and Stacey John-Davies was enough and I’m sure the Archers will not be happy with their performance. They will see Sunday as a perfect opportunity to get back on track.

After a summer that saw them bring in a number of signings, TNS began their campaign with a 3-1 defeat at home to Barry Town. Lucie Platt set the Saints on their way, but a goal from Emily Nicholson and two goals in second-half stoppage time from Mackenzie Olden ruined the home side’s opener. While it is always a stern test heading to Cyncoed, there will be a belief that the Saints can do something on Sunday.
