Cascade 4-0 Coed Duon RECAP
Cascade kick-off their Adran South campaign at home to newly promoted Coed Duon at the Centre of Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach.
After finishing second last season, it’s been a busy summer for Cascade. New first-team manager Brandon Simpson retains most of his squad, and he’s added a good mix of players to an already strong core. Ellis Lunn and Lauren Boyd join from relegated Abergavenny, while youngsters Phoebe Ware, Mali Summers, and Erin Parry add some pace and flair. They will have ambitions to challenge Briton Ferry for the title, and a win Sunday would be the perfect start.

This will be Coed Duon’s first season in the newly restructured Adran South. Finishing second in the third tier, the Dragons’ place in the Adran Leagues was confirmed at the end of the season. Like most of the teams in the league, they have kept a good number of last season’s squad together and they’ve added well. Sian Rees adds some Adran Premier experience, while the addition of Grace O’Reilly is one that will get fans excited.
These two did meet last season in the group stages of the Adran Trophy. It was Cascade who came out on top with a dominant 5-0 victory. Beth Lloyd scored two that day, and there was a goal each for Annaliese Lewis, Hannah Moger and the aforementioned Rees.
